DAVE JOHNSON

I graduated from Clarke Community High School in 1964, and enlisted in the Armed Services in 1966: In -February-of that year, I was sent to-Lackland Air Force-Base for Basic-Training. From there I was sent to Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi to be trained as a Morse Code Technician. If my memory serves me right, taking into account it has been a long time ago, I came home in November of 1966, before going to the Philippines just before Thanksgiving. I stayed there at Clarke Air Force Base until I was transferred to Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland. I was an Airborne Radio Operator and was discharged from Andrews AFB in December, 1969. (Update: Dave is now retired and living in Denver, Iowa.)

MARVIN L. JOHNSON

Enlisted in the U.S. Navy in June 1967, and went to San Diego for training, on to China Lake, California. He was assigned to the USS Raleigh and went from Norfolk, Virginia through the Mediterranean Sea. Marvin was discharged in June 1970, and currently is employed in the Wells Fargo office in Des Moines, Iowa.

SCOTT W. JOHNSON, SON OF DAVID JOHNSON, GRANDSON OF WALTER & GEORGIA (As of November 2008) Served 15 months in Iraq, now stationed at Savannah, Georgia.
